LOVESICK: FACE ME

"You've really never heard of the faceless ghost?"

You run into a man in the woods. Well, he runs into you. . . literally. What now? Do you turn tail and take off? Do you make a new friend? Hell, maybe you even fall (pun intended) head over heels for each other! My guess? You die in a lot of horrible ways! :D

LOVESICK: FACE ME is a horror/anti-dating sim that explores what it truly means to never really know who you're going to run into. Set in a small Appalachian town in the 90's, you play as a college student trying to get a photo of the town's infamous "faceless ghost" for your newspaper club's publication. What happens next is for you to decide!

The demo currently has 8 endings with corresponding achievements, however, the full game is planned to have upwards of 30 unique ends! This is subject to change as development continues, but I plan to keep as much content as humanly possible in the final release. The full game has no release date planned (I'm a solo dev with a full time job, ya'll) but please know that every free moment I have is being spent pouring my heart and soul into this project <3

This content is NOT SUITABLE for anybody under 18 years of age. The characters and scenarios in this game are FICTIONAL. This game is NOT meant to romanticize it's characters or situations. They are BAD people and BAD situations that should NOT be sought after in real life. It is a HORROR GAME. If you have a hard time distinguishing fiction from what is appropriate behavior in real life, YOU SHOULD NOT BE PLAYING THIS GAME OR ANY OTHERS LIKE IT.

Inspired by a true legend- Arlo, the main protagonist/antagonist/love-interest character is VERY LOOSELY BASED (meaning not at all representative of) on the very real legend of "The Beaver County Green Man" or "Charlie No-Face". The story goes that  in the later 1900's, people driving  at night would report seeing a glowing green ghost with no face walking along the side of the road. The sightings became so abundant that people started purposefully seeking out this "ghoul" and rumors began to spread. Lo' and behold, it was actually just a regular dude! The specter was actually a man named Raymond Robinson who due to an unfortunate accident in his childhood had lost not only most of his face including his eyes, but also his right arm. I've always found this urban legend super fascinating having grown up in the appalachians myself! It blew me away that this kind of story really could come from anywhere! Even right down the road from where you grew up kind of anywhere! 

This game has a prequel! SICK was made in just 5 days for the JamSepticeye GameJam in October of 2025 and (somehow) ended up ranking 98th out of over 1,000 entries! If you want to learn more about the characters, what lead up the events of LOVESICK: FACE ME, or just want to play another game with the same vibes, I highly recommend playing SICK as well!
